This figure is unexpected, after the substantial decrease witnessed in recent years. In 2018 the recorded HEAVY TRUCK THEFTS IN ITALY were 3,395 – a sharp 112.45% increase over 2017 (1,598). Thus, the threat of organized crime is increasing considerably and becoming increasingly violent, considering that robberies are also on the rise.
